FRIDAY:
Low pressure is producing showers through northern sections of New England today. Cloudy skies are lingering back into the Great Lakes. High pressure is spreading through the mid-Atlantic states and much of the Southeast. A developing area of low pressure is producing showers and thunderstorms through the eastern sections of the southern Plains and the lower Mississippi River Valley. Some of these storms may produce heavy rain along the Gulf Coast. High pressure is spreading sunny skies from the Southwest to the northern Plains. Rain is falling along the northern and central sections of the Pacific Coast. Snow is falling through the Cascades and the Sierra Nevada. Upwards of a foot of snow will be possible through the Cascades while heavy snow will be possible in the Sierra Nevada during the overnight hours.

SATURDAY:
Another storm system will move into the Northwest Saturday. Rain will be likely over the Pacific Northwest, with snow over the Cascades. Snow and some rain will fall over the Intermountain West and into portions of the northern Rockies. Low pressure along the Gulf Coast will result in showers possible a few thunderstorms. High pressure will provide dry and quiet conditions from the northern Plains to the Northeast. Dry weather will also expected from the Southwest to the southern Plains.

SUNDAY:
A slow moving storm system will produce showers and a few thunderstorms across the Southeast Sunday. Another in a series of storm systems will be responsible for rain and snow across the Northwest and into the northern Rockies. A few showers will be possible over the Upper Midwest with a weak cold front moving through that region. High pressure will continue to provide dry weather across the Northeast. Dry weather will continue from the Southwest to the southern Plains as well.
